Gwenn, we would love to have you back again too! Please visit us again some day. We here in the 40th District invite all Quotarians to come on over and join us for our conference in Mackay next year. Thanks to Gwenn for being our very special "favourite"

That's one of the best photos of you and Charles I've ever seen. Sounds like you're both enjoying the trip as well as working hard. I know you're setting a good example for Chris's presidency, too (joke, joke!)! If you have a long layover at LAX on your way back to Monroe, let me know and I'll be glad meet you and drive off the airport property for lunch/dinner/coffee, whatever.

As always, Gwenn, I enjoy reading your travel tales and Quota stories. So glad to know that all is well with Sarah, too. I was intrigued by your comments defining the word,
Quota. Way back in the mid-90s when Bobbie Carey and I were presidents, we had the discussion about the definition of the word. We both had experiences with people thinking it was something it wasn't ... some thought it referred to maintaining a quota of the numbers of immigrants across the border into California, others thought it referred to the number of speeding tickets police officers were required to issue! Anyway, we could tell you stories! I also had to laugh at my age-related response to the recommendation of a name change to "Now! Cedar Rapids." Like you, I thought that has lots of potential, but my first reaction showed my age. To me, NOW means the National Organization for Women which was so prevalent in the 70s. That the young woman suggesting the name change did not make that connection is proof that time, and change, do indeed march on! Keep up the good work, Madame President!

Only you Americans know about storms EH!!!
Makes ours DOWN UNDER sound like puppies.
Can understand Gwen, why you have cancelled your S.P.A trip. One needs to be home when life is so stressful for so many.
Your bed will always be made here in Ohope NZ, any time you both wish.
Sorry you will not be using it in June.
A great saying used by the Maori people is 'KIA KAHA" KEEP STRONG!

So glad that Sarah is safe!!! I have been thinking about all of our southern Quota sisters and worrying about you with this crazy weather and flooding. I love the scarf project! Like mom, like daughter, to create something productive out of something so awful. See you in July! Michelle
